Communities as a force for collective impact.

From preparing for the future of work to curbing increased inequity caused by gentrification, the social problems that exist today are complex and deeply entrenched.  So much so that no one single player can tackle these issues alone.  Thus, collaboration is required among government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organizations, and citizens coming together.

Place-based approaches that draw from local change agents from the public, social, and private sector are key for significant and lasting change.

Private sector

Business as a powerful change agent for good.

Companies can no longer hide behind public relations platitudes and lip service in their attempts to "do good." Instead, successful businesses must innovate, especially in the current political and business environment.

They need to think strategically about how they will use their core business assets (products, service, supply chain, customer reach, etc.) to produce broader social good for the communities they operate in that also increases the prosperity and profits of the company long-term.
